Yes they have shelter but not like a coop. It's been so cold here, I've put garbage bags around it and put blankets up inside there house to keep the wind off of them but it's supposed to stay warm all week. My chickens are loving this weather.

I'm impressed with your inventiveness and ingenuity using the materials you had to provide them with a shelter. That's one of the prettiest things I've seen on here.

The red hens with black tails are Rhode Island Reds most likely.

Does anyone know what kind of chickens that I do have?

For hens there's a silver laced Wyandotte, red sex link, and production red or RIR. Males are production red and the other possibly partridge Rock. That particular color pattern exists in a few breeds.
