I have 12 chicks that I got on the 17th of April, so I am not quite sure what I have in terms of the sex. I have 2 CornishX (I plan on keeping around as long as possible) and 10 RIR and NH Reds.

Some of the tails seem to have longer tail feathers than the others. Could it be possible they are roosters? Also, Is it possible to have several roosters together and them grow up together?

Is it possible to start sexing the chicks at less than 2 weeks old or should I wait longer? What do I look for?

Thanks!
Keri

If you could post pics, we could give you a better idea. Two weeks *is* a little young but things to look for are foot size (roosters feet are often bigger), comb turning pink, wattles developing, feather/tail development (pullets develop faster). Hope this helps....

any pics for us?
