Roosters

[So cal chickens]

I live in socal and am raising a young marans roo and i am not supposed to have roosters
i was wondering how old before he starts crowing and how loud he will get and do all roos crow early in the morning ???

Around 20 weeks when roosters start to crow. Usually start crowing at daylight. If you turn a porchlight or other light on before daylight, good chance he will start crowing then. I never heard or been around 1. Since its a normal size bird, I'm guessing its going to be pretty loud.
