Roosting bar placement?

Corner roosts appeal to the human sense of aesthetics and efficiency but are quite unsuited to chickens' needs because the sections of the roost that are less than a foot from the wall are useless to them. :)

This run is 8' wide, with 4' between verticals along the fronts and sides. 15 Chickens perch on these diagonal logs comfortably. This is in the run, not the coop (2x4x8s in the coop), but since we put these up (and the weather isn't stupid cold anymore) the chickens prefer to sleep in the run!

Continuing with my coop build and I'm starting to think about placing the roost bars. My coop will be 8' long and 6' wide. I currently have 6 chicks 2 rir, 2 marans and 2 austolorps. I want to get a few easter Eggers as well. So maybe 10 birds total. Would my idea for roost placement be ok or should I move them? I'm planning on using 2x4's. Thanks for the help.
Not sure about location, but keep them low, about 18” so big birds don’t damage thei leg joints and suffer from lameness.
