Roosting during eclipse

There will geographical prime spots to view, but it won't be total eclipse until about 2025 I think I heard. And still, you have to be in a sweet spot to witness the total even then. I doubt my locations will have any effect on my livestock where We live.

Who thinks their girls will roost during the eclipse?:lau
I'm sure they won't around here. New England has the worst view of this eclipse in the US with only 50-60% of the sun obscured. It's darker than that from only the clouds for most of spring!

For those closer to the path of totality I expect their birds will react differently. Hopefully they will post their observations.

I am in central Missouri well within the path of totality. Setting up here to watch a harem made up of a cock, hen and a dozen 3-week old chicks that will have a tree to roost in and the ability to free range over about 3 acres.

Totality will be seen for those that are lucky enough. Denver will be at 93%, not sure about here, 200 miles south of Denver.
