Roosting during eclipse

We're in 99% so we drove the extra 30 mins down to the edge of 100%. It was completely different.
We only got totality for a couple seconds but wow. For maybe 10-15 mins before & after, the light started changing to this eerie shadowy-ness & it was a little cold & windy.
The corona around the sun at full eclipse was just breathtaking. Here are some photos but they don't do justice

When I got back, the girls seemed pretty much the same.

I was fortunate enough to have totality here in Oregon. My 4 gals created quite a fuss as it started to get dark and the temperature dropped. They then immediately headed for their coop and roosted. Crickets started chirping and then total silence. Afterwards I went to their coop and found them all roosting--they then followed me back out. Crazy gals!

Hi from DE! We were in the 80-85% range. It only got slightly overcast looking here. I was at work but checked in with the hubby about our girls and roo. The gang didn't even appear to notice - no change of behavior in the girls and no crowing from the roo.

99.81% here and it just got dusky dark for about 3 minutes, more like a storm coming in than an eclipse. The chickens didn't even notice. It was just dark enough for the street lights to come on and the crickets to chirp, then went back to normal.
