Ok so the last couple days the girls have decided to roost in the tree during their time out of the run area. I don't mind this at all and part of me wants to let them stay there overnight if they should so decide but I am trying to plan ahead for potential headaches in this situation. I am in an urban area and there are plenty of neighborhood cats who wander around who might get them should I leave them out overnight.
Also the tree they are choosing is near the fence to my neighbor behind me. I am not sure she would look kindly on our chickens getting into her yard if they should decide to fly over there from the tree.
Anyhow I am seeking advice or solutions that I might not have thought of. Yes so far they are being cooped up overnight. I get them out of the tree by offering the treats and it is working well so far. Do you think they will go over the fence from up in the tree? Anything else I am not considering here?
