At 15 weeks the girls decided to roost on the branch in the run area at night and not go into the coop. The run is fully secure from predators. The weather has been hot 90s in the day but cooling down to 60s at night. Up until now they were going in at night. We went out of town for a few days and had to leave the door open. Is there a reason I should make them go inside to roost at night?

I think they sound fine outside in their run. I'm glad it is secure, so there is no real problem. I think they like the cooler weather outside more than the coop.

I didnt think so either, but wasn't sure. I'm new to raising chickens. Here's a picture. They love the higher branch I put in.
