My chickens did not start roosting till they were about 15 weeks old. I wanted them to roost sooooooo bad. I tried putting them on the roosting ladder to show them what to do and how it felt. None of them would roost. I finally left them alone and low and behold they one by one started roosting. Now all 14 of them sleep in a big pile on 3 steps of the ladder whch has 6 steps. They like to snuggle. The rooster is always inthe center and the girls all around.
