Ah okay. Green eggs, how fun! I would love a green egg layer. All I’ve got are brown layers. Something that lays greens are on my list, not sure what yet.I think it’s just a new name for silver Isbar, if you’ve heard that name? I think the guy who developed the breed was named Rudd so they changed it? I’m new to chickens so someone else may know the history better than I do. They lay a light green egg I am told, no one here is laying yet but we are counting the days for that first egg lol! I have this one and a silverudd splash that are about 20 weeks old so we are getting there! The rest are a bit younger still.
Aw congrats! Nothing like the first egg! And how does the big girl look all grown up?Her first egg!
What a pretty little ladyIt was our silverudd with the rose comb!
Yes, her petite little comb will serve her well here as we get harsh winters! What a pretty little ladyI was thinking maybe her comb grew a little bit more, but nope stayed petite and cute!
I’m always thankful for our rose combed cinnamon queens, too, in the winters here. Although they are even a lot larger than your girls’ comb lolYes, her petite little comb will serve her well here as we get harsh winters!
