Thanks for posting this. Im pretty familiar with Katherines website and have seen this before...didn't stop me from reading it again

She says somewhere on her website where she has like a dozen different colors she managed to get out of a couple birds. It really shows how amazing and complicated genetics can be.

The lesson of the day

One thing to keep in mind is, when starting a new color, the importance of starting a few breeding groups so you can outcross with eachother in the future. Her one mistake, admitedly, was breeding just the two parent birds which inhibited her options later.
