Roses (the flowers)

I love that rose. I'd go with the coral. Even here in the desert I can grow roses and have over a dozen. Will have to see what is looking it's best and take photos. I have a son and his family that live in Hope Mills. He just retired from the army. I'll be in Hope Mills sometime after the 15th of June. That's when hubby and I fly into Jacksonville to stay at my daughters and see all the family. I used to live just outside of Jacksonville.

Not sure if your talking about the same type of Confederate Rose or not? Are you talking about the one that changes colors from white to pink? If so did you know that it's actually a hybiscus and not a rose? Also, if you know anyone that has one they will grow from a cutting.

what is everyones favorite variety of roses i guess i want to say and colors and what is ur fav roses u own if u know the name of them or the color?

i think my fav out of mine would be my tea roses, i love them when the buds first open and then the smell, most smell like fresh sun tea. smells so yummy i love it!! my fav color is the peach/orange colored ones and 2 tones. my favs of mine i'd say so far is my about face which is the 2 tone orange ones i posted pics of and my new apricot one i'd have to read the label for the name but it is pouring outside. we should get pics of our roses then later in the season do a cutting swap or something to share our beautiful roses with each other, that would be awesome. we could do some rooted and non rooted too it would be alot of fun.

great idea, the rose cutting swap! I would be willing to share cuttings, as long as I know what Im supposed to do...I must have over 50 kinds....

My faves are the old fashione english roses with a lot of petals, I have a few and would like to get more, mostly I have odds and ends hybrid teas. I like all colors and try to keep cut flowers in the house, when I remember

My favorites are the teas also. I have Peace, (probably my favorite due to the story behind it's name), John F. Kennedy, Tiffany, Oklahoma, Mr. Lincoln, Chicago Peace and I forget the others. I have other roses, Joseph's Coat in both bush and climber, Angel Face, Cecil Brunner, Iceberg, Double Delight, and I have four Lady Banks roses that do well here. They're the climbers that actually are called rambling roses and have very small blossoms but what they lose in size they make up in quantity. I have both the yellow and the white. I have six or eight more I don't remember the names of. My other passion is bearded iris of which I have at least 80 and they're in a special garden fenced in so the rabbits can't get to them.

i collect iris too and hostas and all kinds of plants.
