Rosie is acting off balance and twisting head

Do you have a picture of her? It sounds like it would be wry neck.

I'll try to take one. She's going through a big molt, if that could be related. She seemed subdued but fine this morning. I took it to be embarrassed about the molt. I feel like a dope.

I just got her to have a nice dinner of oatmeal made with lots of baby formula and powdered milk for the vitamins. If it isn't Wry neck, what else could make her twist her neck and walk like she's tipsy?

I hate to say this, but when one of my birds started to act like that it turned out to be Marek's Disease. There is no cure for it, so let's hope that it's not that...

Wow, that sucks. How contagious is it? I've separated her, but should I move her to a completely different area?

Just to keep everyone up to date, Rosie is just fine. I gave her lots of extra nutrition, and bit by bit she started getting her feathers in and got back to normal. It took a couple of weeks. It looks like it was molt related. Thanks everyone. I really needed a happy ending, so many times it isn't.
