I am absolutely horrified. I live less than two hours away from Roswell, and have two friends who live there, one who would love to raise backyard chickens. I will be sending her this link.....

You are not alone. Anyone who wants more information you can google Andrew Wordes or Roswell Chicken Man. There are several articles that detail everything this man had been put through.

Tonight many of his friends believe he did this not out of desperation but to make a point. The man I knew was a kind hearted, giving person. He would feed a stranger, rehab an animal, do just about anything for someone if they needed it.

I certainly understand how he reached this point and why he would want to go out in a blaze.

This is such a tragedy. Our "government" stopped representing the people a long time ago, and started abusing the power they have. RIP Andrew, I hope your sacrifice brings national attention to the abuse of power that you were a victim of. I was unaware of this story previously, I will be sharing it as a warning of what government can be capable of. So sad.

I started to say something that unfortunately is not true. I was going to say his story is one of a man that stood up to the powers that be, but in the end, he is gone. I am just sad.

Government? More voters felt interested in jacking the lever for alcohol sales on Sunday than felt interested in voting for the Council Members (even then booze only got ~10,000 to the booths out of a population of 88,000). The `tail' is obviously disinterested in how the dog gets wagged. Probably more involved in watching reruns of whatever. Hate to say it but I doubt many of those `citizens' will be moved by any echoes from the blast.
