Hi all. I'm been raising chickens for the past 3 years and this spring I brought in some new chicks that have been laying for a couple months now. I have recently been finding rotten eggs, I believe from one of the younger birds as the eggs are small. The eggs when cracked are filled with a putrid green fluid with no distinguishable yolk, and seem gas filled. I believe it is only one bird laying these eggs as there have only been a handful of them among my other healthy eggs over the past month or so. Any info on what may be causing this?

I had a similar problem, and never did get an answer to it. I ended up culling the hen laying these eggs becauseI didn't want the risk of a friend or coworker getting one in their carton
