Rotten fresh eggs

A friend of mine recently purchased some marans and one of them is laying off eggs. They have disseminated yolks and taste rotten. Is this a characteristic of any particular disease? As i am worried about it spreading to the others. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yuck. Eggs that taste off are usually as a result of a bird's diet, but the yolk thing is strange. Here's a link you may find helpful:

Sounds like it might be an infection in the oviduct.
