ive read conflicting information as far as sexing juvenile Rouen ducks based on plumage and bill color. Can anyone more experienced tell anything by this photo? They're seven weeks old. I will also say they seem to have more raspy voices but are louder than my Pekin drake, so I'm not sure. My first ducklings I've raised. Also what is their growth rate supposed to be? They are quite a bit smaller than my year old Pekins. Thank you in advance!

In person it looks very olive, but it may be in the midst of a color progression change. They both sound the same (to me).

Hello,
I agree, the back duck is a male and the front duck is a female. You can also see that the male's tail is turning upward and the female is sloped more downward. All of our males have much brighter yellow beaks and the females have browner beaks. The voice will become more distinct in the next few weeks.

Thank you very much! I haven't noticed a curly feather on either. I have an adult Pekin drake, so I know what they look like but I gather they just might be too young still.
