Rouen Duck thread

I posted a picture of my duck a couple months back...I got 6 "Pekin" duck eggs to hatch in my classroom, but we had one "odd duck"! I think she is a Rouen or Rouen mix -- definitely bigger than a mallard. What do y'all think?

i got 6 rouens about 10 weeks ago and i think 3 are males and 3 are females the males are just starting to get their colors  and the females are kinda loud:/

It takes a bit for the full transformation. My male took like 3 full weeks to actually fully change and after snapping some pics today I think he's still changing. Lol ya all my females are loud to of ever breed I have. They never learned to use inside voices lol

Mine are about the same age.  Is that one of your drakes in your avi?  Looks like the green is really coming in on him too!  I think we are just behind ducklover87, with mine wanting to change the slowest.... .  

Thanks he sure is handsome. Mine just turned 15 weeks on Sunday. Another month or so I should be getting eggs from them

Hmm I don't see any miscoloring of any kind. It looks like a pure Rouen. It could be mixed with Pekin though and it just isn't showing. Sure is pretty though.

So after a long day at work a 10hr shift today I came home to chase my drake half way around my yard then proceed to hold him and take pics. Turns out he has really sharp nails but I did get some really good pics

I'm a Rouen and ducks in general newb, but she looks Rouen to me. That is funny that happened. I did come across in my travels someone saying they have a Rouen/Pekin cross that looks just like a Rouen, no difference and it had to be a cross with what ducks and genders they had. ???
