The circled red area helps to show the first signs of your boys and girls. The boys will get this white coloring up the wings first and some females tips will change colors too so watch and see if the coloring just keeps creeping up if so then that means male if not then female.

That is not correct....white edging on scapulars is a rouen trait....look for whiteb on the tertial coverts....you have the scapulars and the secondary coverts...not the right feathers for determining sex.

Lol my khakis do that only they do fly. Not far but they fly lol. Make sure your rouens don't fly away they have the potential to fly too.

I was given some rouen ducks last year and they were the loudest things, after a few weeks I couldn't wait to get rid of them. They are vute though.
