I got a good look at them today and noticed the black on the top of the head has a green shimmer in the sunlight and was wondering is the normal with both sexes or just males
Roughly. They look to either be coming out of a molt (7ish weeks) or going into a molt (10ish weeks). If they are going into a molt and one of them is male like they claimed then he will begin to change colors. But if they are coming out of a molt it will be a few weeks before they molt again. Or they might not molt again and that would put them at about 13 weeks and both female.

Some say that its only the males who get it but I noticed it with both sexes. Just after a while the boys got more green and the girls kinda lost it.

The green is a structural color that is common on both sexes.

Does anyone know where I can find the Rouen standard? I do not want to buy the APA book. We have a mallard/khaki mix that looks, by pictures only, like a Rouen. My daughter was thinking to show her as a Rouen, she really likes this young duck. If we could pass her as a Rouen, that would be cool. She is too big to pass as a mallard. Looks nothing like a khaki. I'll post pictures if someone wants me to. I hope someone can provide their standard. Thank you :)

I have four ducklings who are seven or eight weeks old. The smaller two I think are rouens and the bigger two I think are crosses between my female pekin and my rouen drakes. The smaller two seem to have trouble standing. They sit when they're foraging, they sit when they're eating and they sit when they're dabbling in the mud puddle. If somethings wrong with their legs, what should I do to fix it? Or do they just not like standing?

Some d'lings do seem to sit a bit more than others... But if they were mine, I'd get them onto some supplemental Niacin.

Hmm as far as I know there's no other place to find the standard other than the book.
