He is aprox 4 weeks old. wad eating and drinking fine yesterday. even peas. they are on flock starter medicated. have plenty of fresh water to drink and seperate swim water. peas each evening. and apple cider vinegar in water. the other two have no issues. the one in question picks up a pea and dpits it out with a long clear mucusy spittle hanging from bill. he seems to drink and bathe. just wondering if anyone has ever seen or delt eith such and how it was cured or outcome. thanks

a few of my ducklings have had this. if its clear it shouldn't be a huge issue. mine all turned out fine and perfectly healthy.

Thanks for the replys. Will update tomorrow. He did eat some bread and seemed a bit better. They are our first ducks and have become so enamored with them. Hope to post pics and perm home pics soon. Thanks to all on this forum. Ya'll made things so much easier for our new children. lol.

I'd stay away from bread though. Not the best thing to feed ducks, young or older. Hope things continue to improve.

Thanks. I agree on bread issue but was onky thing on hand soft. We got more peas this evening and he seems to be back to the norm. We did have high winds last few days here in So. AZ. so maybe that contributed. We will try to post pics this weekend.
