Are both of these Rouen ducklings? I bought 10 assorted ducklings from Tractor supply co site, and I think they only sent me Rouen ducks.

Hopefully these help☺️
I would add the black one could be a silver appleyard as well. I have not seen a duckling that looks like the other at all. The markings do look like those 3 breeds, but haven't seen any other than black, with those markings. You might could see if the TSC will tell you who they got them from, and see if you could contact the hatchery yourself. I have before and was able to get them to identify what I had gotten. They said they couldn't say exactly what they had sent to the store, but was happy to help me ID them.

Maybe I'll have to give them a call. There were 5 that died during shipping that I was able to identify easily, but these other ones are just giving me a rough go haha.

You can eliminate it being a mallard if it is missing a toe on one of the legs. As far as I know all the hatcheries in the US clip one if they hatch mallards. Then you will have to wait til it feathers out to know which of the other 2 it is. We had a silver appleyard when we thought it was a rouen. I don't remember anything between our Rouen and our appleyard that was different. Only was it once we actually had Rouen and they didn't look like the other did we find out it was an appleyard. Even as a juvenile she looked like our Rouen, once she started getting her adult she became considerably lighter than our Rouen.

Silver Appleyards have very unique looks as ducklings (yellow with black tail and head stripe) nothing here looks like an appleyard. Golden 300 sometimes resemble Rouens they have a few sex linked looks.

Yeah they look like that and some look like Rouen. From my understanding if you are wanting to breed the ones that start out looking like Rouen you shouldn't be breeding. Our golden 300s were like brown, one was more yellowish with a black stripe on her head, which we named Stripe lol, and the drake was like a dark brownish more like black when it was young. Most pictures I've found for the silver appleyard look like you said,. I will dig through my pictures and attach Hope, our silver appleyard when she was young, and with her adult coloring. There is a couple pictures I found where she was darker before she got to her current color where you can see she has lightened up.
