I need to give away my 11 month old Rouen/Khaki Campbell Drake, Percy, because we no longer have enough room for him.

He's beautiful, with the coloring of a Mallard and he's also small and petite compared to Rouens - he can even fly pretty long distance at fairly high altitudes, so I clip his wings, which is actually very easy because he readily allows me to hold him. Although he lets me hold him, he has become aggressive, though over the months that aggression has faded until you could just call him crabby with an occasional bite. And he's only crabby to me, which I would contribute to him being totally unafraid of me because he was the only one to hatch when I incubated 7 eggs once. I could actually put him on my head and he wouldn't be fazed. I also say it's because he's not afraid of me because he doesn't let my family member hold, pet, or otherwise come into contact with him at all, so I wouldn't expect him to be crabby with anyone to took him in.

Percy's mother, the Khaki Campbell, is an excellent layer, to the point it's surprising when she skips a day. His sister from a later hatch but the same parentage is also a very reliable layer, although she just started laying a few months ago, so from what I can tell from the time she's been laying, I think she will be as good a layer as her mother. Also, if you ever wanted some ducklings by him, Percy is pretty reliable to fertilize the majority of the eggs one of your ducks would lay.

I will not ship him, so you would need to pick him up in Marlborough, CT, or if you can't come that far, I would be willing to drive up to 20 minutes (or if you really can't come any farther, I could probably drive a little farther, but 20 minutes tops would be ideal) to a meeting point to give him to you.

If you're interested in providing him a home, please post below.
