Rough collie thread!

Hi! Please post pics of your rough collies! I had a rough collie named Spottie but he passed away last week. He had cancer I'm getting a female black rough collie in January but it seems like such a long time away!

i had one when i was very young. she was named Chicka. she would kill our chickens, and knock kids over. and was just a pain in the butt.

So very sorry for your loss of Spottie. He was a handsome doggie.


The new puppy is adorable. Yes waiting is very hard.

Lady was very much a lady! She was very responsive and reliable in her jobs (like letting us know if the cows were out or someone drove into any of the driveways or access lanes). The dog we had before her would point to the cows, though, and that was more helpful. Lady never figured out we couldn't find them easily in the dark.

She was an older style collie with a reasonable amount of coat - I don't have a picture handy but about this much coat even at five or more years old.
