One of my chickens has been laying rough shelled eggs, they feel like sandpaper or like they were in a fire or something. Is this normal, she doesn’t lay many eggs anymore, and when she does they’re like this?
I’ve got a few new laying hens that are laying eggs with that whitish calcium coating. Are they still edible despite looking odd? Some of them have such a thick coating that when I wash them they change color. I sell fresh eggs and I want to make sure they’re safe
