Rough spots on neck

I am sorry for your loss, and having to do it again tomorrow. I have found that WV does nit do necropsies on chickens, preferring to let owners get them through their private vets. But I would call the nearest of the 3 VA state labs in case they would do one on your chicken to look for Mareks and whatever is wrong. Keep the body cold, not frozen. This is the video of the sussex with the skin issue. The other chick with the lame leg continued to decline so we put her down. With the sussex, her skin doesn't seem to be improving. She still eats, drinks, and walks fine, but does seem to be progressively get more lethargic.

I believe we will put her down tomorrow. I just wish we could understand what is happening.

I agree, it would be a good idea, if possible, to get some testing/necropsy to find out the cause of the skin issues and decline.
