Round 2 with a broody

I have 3 out of 5 Silkies broody at the moment. You just gotta love them gals! I'm fortunate that I have the space for more and a rooster rescue "free ranging" farm close by with 300 hens. Silkies are amazing!

Haha I had a Silkie once who went broody before she could lay eggs of her own. My EE (in my profile pic) went broody on golf balls. She's my only chicken at the moment and well, obviously she can't even hatch her own eggs. So I got a dozen eggs from a friend and she's decided she's going to hatch them… She hasn't even been laying eggs long, maybe a month now… and then I found out her daddy was a Silkie. Should have known! XD

I marked it on the calander. Wait I'am confused??? 72 hours till they hatch? or 432?

432 more till they hatch.

My two silkie girls still have not even attempted sitting. Good thing they are cute.

I have no idea what the hen is that sitting.

This is the one setting.

Sorry for the bad pics, she was on the run from day one when I got her. Bust busy chicken.

96 hours ( well a little past 96 ) but I figured if I was behind on counting it may make up for the colder weather....
