After an hour of chicken herding I caught 2 more today, the last little girl could fly better than I though she could and escaped the yard before I could get my hands on her. But the 2 we got... wondering what mix they may be... Probably mutt but still....

Rooster, BIG even though he's still really thin he's at least 5 or 6 pounds already, he does have some feathers all the way down to his feet, not a lot but they are there:

And the hen I did catch, very very shy little thing, a bit thin but nothing like the roos and she keeps hiding behind the roo we caught the other day:

The other hen is an orangy color, hopefully she'll decide she wants to be near these 2 and roosts in the yard again this evening.

Yep, strays. Animal control is tired of dealing with them, told me that if I could catch I could keep. Neighbors are tired of them too.

Mixes are most definitely what they are, the house that they are coming from usually has everything under the sun. Chicken hoarder we are thinking but AC can't do much out here other than trap and give away or beg people to herd them up.

Cool! I like her coloring, I like to roo's color she hiding behind too. Not really sure about the monster roo yet. He's the one the neighbors really don't like, crowing at 3 and 4 am. So he'll either be going to a new home somewhere or be dinner once he's fattened up a bit, he is sooooo thin...

The roo reminds me a little of my cochins. Cochin mix i'm guessing. The tail is a little bit short and the feathered legs leads me to that guess.

Showed hubby the new additions when he got in and had him help me inspect for lice, mites, etc... and the hen has one foot that is partially green. Normal for brahma's?

Id say the on in the first picture is a cochin cross.. ( Brahmas have a pea comb )
The birds in the second picture well the one on the left looks like a cross breed/ easter egger maybe.
the one on the right looks like a Sex-link rooster..
