Rounding up my chickens in the evening

Get some BOSS. Black oiled sunflower seeds which are high in protein. Put the boss in a tupperware container & carry it with you shake the container & feed them the boss & in no time they will come every time you shake the container. Guaranteed they will come .

No kidding. And make sure it is something your neighbours don't mind hearing. I just started using birdy birdy, but in a yodel like voice My chickens will come running from far reaches of the earth when I make that sound. One neighbour, however, said they preferred the sounds coming from my rooster over me​

I have a small yard and have a chicken ark that I move around the yard, so at times when I let the chicks out in the evening they try to go to the last position of the ark to go to bed instead of where it actually is. I use raw oatmeal, they love the stuff. I put it in a bowl and shake in near them and once they figure out I have it they chase me down.
