Roundness of egg and gender

Is this true? How many of you have experienced this? I would love it if true to eat the pointy ones and hatch the rounds.

I have tried it and marked the eggs then marked the chicks that came out of the pointy eggs one color and the chicks that hatched out of the rounded eggs a different color. I still got more or less 50/50 from both pointy and round eggs.
