I have been speaking with an old guy that I used to know. He was crazy about chickens years ago. He told me the eprinex that you pu on the skin is practically a joke. It only takes care of external parasites and capillary worms. If a chicken has roundworms or gapeworms or even tapeworms the best thing is to use "safeguard" which is a mild wormer for horses and foals.
He told me to use the exact amount for the wieght and this is very improtant. So you will need to wiegh your bird and give the appropriate dose. He also said that if you have a big flock you can put injectable ivernmectin in the waterer. I did not get a dosage, but it should be an oral administration.
i have some injectable ivernmectin and plan on using this in a few days. I have already wormed with Wazzin and the flock is really active now, but this only gets ONE kind of worm.
You can be assured that I will research the dosage before I administor. I will edit this post when I find the right amount per gallon of water.
