I butchered 1 RP and 1 Spanish for Thanksgiving, it looked like the RP's breast meat was in a V shape, was this just him or is their meat placed differently?
I cooked a Royal Palm this year as well. It was my first RP, and I was actually pleased with how much meat there was on it. Earlier this summer Steve wrote about their V-shape and I didn't understand what he meant. I do now. But the meat was very good. We also cooked up a St Bronze hen. This one was slightly overcooked (oops). Of the two, I preferred the palm, but I don't know if it was because of the breed or because the bronze was a little too done.
