My hen started laying eggs last week. We are going to incubate all of the ones she lays. They should be pure blood lines since my other turkey, a Georgia Black tom, was killed/died last week. I think my Royal Palm tom killed him. How many eggs can I expect from my hen. This is her first year laying eggs. She is about eight months old.

I'm glad you joined our community.

Sorry, I don't know much about Turkeys. I would definitely post at the link Kelsie2290 left you with.

I'm glad you joined our "flock!"

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Georgia Black tom.

I'd be sure to post in the turkeys forums, where experienced members should be able to help.

I would keep in mind that hens (at least chickens--I'm not sure if it applies to turkeys) can store sperm in their reproductive tract for 2 weeks or more. Therefore, I wouldn't assume that your Royal Palm hen is laying purebred eggs.
