When I first bought my chickens five years ago, I got two EEs and four RSLs. My EEs got eaten by something now, but I lost two of my RSLs to water belly and now there's something wrong with my third girl. The 4th doesn't have any health issues as of yet but she's so MEAN. Not to humans but she takes the pecking order way too seriously. Is it just an RSL thing? I've heard, after doing some recent research, that RSLs are common "problem" chickens as far as health and temperament. Just wanted to know how many of you have had issues with them. Is it because I got them from Tractor Supply? Do they get them from a bad supplier maybe?

Yes, I have had both reproductive and temperament issues with my golden comet, who is now 1 1/2 yrs old. When she first started laying she would occasionally lay a white banded egg or slab egg, and has been slightly egg bound twice. The past couple months her egg size has decreased and since hasn't had any problems. She laid HUGE eggs until recently, usually too big to put in an egg carton.
This past May I acquired 2 new EE hens, around the same age as my flock, and my golden comet has been the meanest and most aggressive with them. Its been 5 months since they've all been together, and all the other girls have chilled out except her. Every day there is a handful of random attacks from her on the EEs for no apparent reason.
Aside from that, she is very people friendly, intelligent and very entertaining. I adore her, but I don't think I would chose a sex-link again.
