Is this ok? Rubber mat like what is used for horse stalls to give better footing? (I have a coop that has glassboard flooring, and it is extremely easy to clean, but, extremely slippery.)

I put down a 1/4" rubber mat, covered with 3" pine shavings.

Any opinions?

(Chicks aren't coming until May. Is it May yet??

I've used them and love it! Never had problems with mice or rats living under mats but its the wood underneath my coop that they love!
