My 3 & 1/2 week EE named S'mores has some feathers above it's wing that are sticking out. I lifted the wing to see if there were any mites/bugs but couldn't find any... S'mores is still eating and drinking, but I also just noticed the other day that s/he has a bump on her chest ( I think it is the crop full with food). Could the ruffled feathers be due to a sour crop? S/he seems to have a hard time peeping, it sounds hoarse and softer than before.

Any way here are some pictures:

Please help me to determine what is wrong with S'more.

She looks perfectly normal. She will smooth out as she gets the rest of her feathers. Usually about 7-10 weeks.

I tried to edit to answer other question. Hard bump sounds like your little Smores may have a impacted crop. I would seperate her and take away reg feed for a few days, switch to a scrambled egg and olive oil diet.

Thanks, I'm relived to know that the feathers is normal.
I'll try your suggestion for the crop.
