I have to do more posts. I love the buy sell swap threads and have run across a lot of interesting things, but I can't bid on anything until I have 250 posts and I tend to not participate. I'm pretty new to chickens, so I don't have a lot of knowledge to share. So anyone and everyone please talk to me so I can get more posts. Thanks

LOL...yes you need to get chatting

What type of chickens do you have? I have Bantam Cochins...just LOVE how friendly they are and since they are backyard chickens...their size works perfect for us!!!

I have barred rocks, white leghorns, ameracaunas, blue andalusions, brahmas, and buff rocks. They were suppose to be buff orphingtons but, ordering error. Next year I want to get BOs.

It's not hard to get up to (and over) 250 posts by reading & commenting on the threads in the Family Life forum. You don't need to be an "expert" to tell someone their birds are handsome or ask them a question.

You can get involved on your state thread, that's a good place to chat with other members located closer to you. Ask about upcoming swap meets, shows, share stories about local events, etc.:

There's also a Miscellaneous forum where you can share stories or ask questions about hobbies, gardening, self-sufficiency or chat about other farm animals/pets:

Jump in and get involved, read some of the "unanswered" posts and maybe you'll find some you can answer.

X 2 - and to @Michael OShay 's suggestion regarding the introduction posts. The bolded is also a good way to help folks not feel lost or forgotten in the fast paced movement of this site which can lead to some threads seeming to be unnoticed. I like to use the "unanswered" list option at least once a day to see if there are any I can reply so that no one feels forgotten.

Jaide welcome to BYC

Some ideas for you Jaide, post on a thread for your favorite breed about them, there are a lot of different threads on here for different interests including natural stuff, recipies, hobbies, gardening etc, if you are considering doing something out of the usual you can always ask opinions about it, but it's best to say where you are from so it can be answered by someone that is knowledgeable about your climate concerns. There is a wide variety of things to look at and discuss here

Nothing wrong with that @prostar , it's a way of getting to know some of the members
