Rump bubble?

I'm confused on the rumpless thing. I have a EE from Ideal that appears to have no booty. Her tail feathers point down and she appear to only have a few of them. She doesnt seem to be able to "fly" as well as the other girls and has a "bubble" or lump of feathers on her back.

This is Chippy (Chipmunk) she use to be Fannie May with her sister Freddie Mac. She is 15-16 weeks old now. she is a camera shy little girl who loves her raspsberries.

She looks just like one of my EE hens! Ours is named Nutsy and Nutsy also took forever for her tail feathers to grow in. I had also wondered if she was some sort of throwback to the rumpless Aracanas, but she has a beautiful tail now.

Chippy has tail feathers, so she's not rumpless. I think they're just taking their time coming in. Try running a search for pictures of true Araucanas - I had never seen one before joining this site.

Thank you Southernbelle she does in fact have a booty compared to the true rumpless wonders. But can anyone explaint the "bubble" or lump on her back. you can see it best on the second pic between the aloe branches. There is no wound or lump on the skin
