Rumpless Araucana question - updated with two week old pics on page 2

Nice looking Lil chicks there..keep those tailed ones two you may wanna use them in your breedings, if they are hens, they could have nice egg color or traits you need in your breedings..as they say use what you have and things will go your way sooner or later.

As most said i don't think you will find any selling eggs at this point that can guarantee 100% rumpless chicks from their hatching eggs..Just with the tuft trait ,works the same way.
But regardless of that you will have lots of fun with this breed as when hatching times comes around you just never know what your gonna get trait wise out of the eggs..

Have fun with them, we love ours..

These are pics at two weeks old:

Large long wings and not tail feathers

Tail feathering and possible tufting????? Not sure. Long wings.

IMG_1870.jpg

Very small tail feathers

Cute with no tail feathering.

So my untrained eyes are not seeing much if any tufting. What do you think? And do the longer wings mean anything? Is that the duckwing feature?

The first one looks rumpless to me and the last one (blue?). That last one does have small tufts. I don't see any on the others. If you look right near the ear holes, you will see them..they're a little off color on the chick, but a little hard to see if you're not sure what you're looking for. Looks like nice yellow skin color too. Very cute!

Thank you. Needless to say they're keepers regardless of features, especially for the egg coloring and the personality. I'm glad I have one or two that are rumpless. And if I get tufts its a bonus and if not then maybe their chicks will be tufted. Either way, they're fun little chicks.

Thanks everyone!
