Could this possibly be a rumpless Jersey Giant? There seems to be no trace of a tail whatsoever. When I feel her rear there is no bump outwards at all. As you can see the other chick has plenty of feathers coming in its tail.

Sorry about the pictures. These two never sit still.

What do you think??

After doing some reading on what exactly a rumpless chicken was I went back out to feel their vertebrae. It is super easy to feel the vertebrae and tail of the big chick but the other one literally has an inverted butt. I can almost push my finger into her like there is a hole. Super crazy!

I can not wait until she grows up! How exciting!

Wow.....it may be really funny looking at adult stage !
Hopefully, there is no congenital birth defects effecting the spine or reproductive organs...cannot think of anything else that would cause such a thing !

Very strange !

Here is an update on my rumpless Jersey Giant. I'm 100% convinced he's a roo even though he hasn't even finished feathering. By the pictures below I don't think many people would disagree. I was actually hoping both of these two would be roos, but I'm pretty sure the other is a hen.

No signs of any other malformations or birth defects. He's a happy healthy silly bird!

Update:

He's getting bigger and prettier every day! I love the rumpless look and I think he wears it well. I haven't seen any indication of any other issues. He's truly a funny little boy with a lot of personality! He likes to sit on my lap and try to eat my pants.

I just took these this morning:

I have a JG and it looks like it's rumpless to me too. He's 12 weeks old, and I kept thinking that he was just late getting feathers (these are my first JG's) but the others have feathers now. It's a wait and see thing.
