Would it be alright if I used cedar fencepost's for my run or would it harm the chickens?

I think cedar posts would be ok. It's outside, so the fumes won't be toxic. This will get your post bumped up and maybe someone else will know. But....no cedar shavings inside the coop!!

Cedar posts are fine outside for the run. I'm using several of them, laid on the ground around the inside of the run, to keep our flock from digging right up against the cattle panels.

Thank you, my Grandfather has Some cedar fenceposts that he has offered me but I wanted to check to see if they would be alright.

The main issue with cedar, and chickens, is avoiding sawdust and shavings.

Used as you describe will be fine
