Run cover option to think about

I just got my anti-hawk netting in the mail that I bought on Ebay. I know that it has not yet stood the test of time, but it feels really sturdy, looks pretty good, and was quite reasonably priced. I bought 20x32ft but it looks more like about 20x40 now that it is laid out on the lawn. There are a few small tears in it (the net is a used fishing net) but nothing serious that I can't fix with zip-tie or some string. It is pretty heavy duty stuff, and I know I will feel better knowing that the hawks around here will never be able to get through to my birds while I'm at work all day.

hugh I will have to check it out, we used bird netting but I am kinda uncomfortable about how easily it seems to tear. Thanks for the tip

We used bird netting but it stretches and sags. I wouldn't recommend it. We are looking into tying it in the middle and throwing the rope over a tree branch to hold it up better.....

I bought the garden netting from lowes and I've had it on my pen for 4 years now and it works great I think it was around $5 or $6 bucks a section. I used around 6 to cover my run. My chicken run is set up between two horse pastures so the run is about 12' x 40' Plus I brought it on down the sides of run too. I was thinking of going all the way to bottom of pen so the baby chicks can't get out of the fencing.
