Are you saying that the horizontal chicken wire did okay, but the vertical chain link came down? Was there anything growing on it, like vines?
Bummer! That ice accumulation is nasty.
Monk......thanks for that info. I'll look into that. I do wish that I had a slanted top to my run, but that was a little too extensive for our abilities.
I have built a small foyer that fits over the chicken door, and was thinking that maybe I could build something similar, but more open, on a small scale along the length of the coop, for more outdoor shelter.
I do have a 16'x4' tarp that I have threaded over the run ceiling 2x4's that gives them a little shade.
I don't know about you guys........but the coop/run is NEVER done! haha
There's always something to tinker with! I guess life would be pretty boring if we ever felt "done" with it.
