Run enrichment, they dont use their “tree”

So I recently put in a roosting “tree” and they dont use it AT ALL. I put treats all over the perches and they knocked down the ones from the lowest, but thats it. I’ve placed them up there to show them, a nope. Any other ideas to replace this tree with that they might use? They love the little “house” with deck. They lay under and around it mostly (which was the intent) and sometimes get up on the deck. Thinking of adding a swing I aside it but I doubt they’d use that.

I have no idea, because chickens do like to roost in the weirdest places.

I have various tree limbs and whatnot in the run that lean at a slant, serving sort of as ramps from one level to another. They do seem to like running up and down on them. Maybe your chickens’ brains just aren’t interpreting the different bars as the equivalent of tree branches?

Or more likely, they’re just thinking “nah” and filing their nails, waiting for the next cool thing. If I were a chicken, I’d like it!

It's still new. I'd leave it for now. They may use it in the future. I have a wicker chair in my run. They like to sit on the seat or perch on the back. Maybe put a chair in the middle of your run?

I'd leave it, they'll probably surprise you and one day you'll walk in and half the flock will be up on it.
