run floor/bottom ?

I am building a coop for my silkies with an attached run for them. when I bought the farm there were several rolls of chicken wire laying around. Here is the question If I put down several layers of chicken wire and allow grass to grow up and anckor it will it hold up against predators? it will be staked down as well

Chicken wire will rust quickly and almost dissolve into the ground. Then you have little bits of rusted wire laying around and that ain't good! From experience, I would look into other options.

I used 2"x4" welded wire I had left over from fencing(for bunny tractor). It's cheaper than hardware cloth and the holes are big enough to let him graze.
