Run on concrete?

If you spread sand down instead of having it delivered in a dump truck call your local concrete company and see if they will deliver some sand in a concrete mixer. Sometomes if you let them do it on their time frame they will and the truck will spread it out for you like it does concrete. Saves alot of work with a shovel and rake.

I have wood shavings in my coop, which is 10x7 ft, and when the chickens come out into the run. The run is half concrete and half yard. I don't do anything to the concrete and they do find. I hose it off for easy cleaning. The coop, I clean out once a week and compost the shavings.
