Run question

Question. If I tack down the excess fence around the bottom of the run and put an electric fence along the bottom board, do I need to bury fencing?

Ours isn't buried and looks just like your on the bottom. Since it extends far enough out I believe it should be fine just the way it is. It would take a ton of digging for anything to get under it.

No. Most people either make a skirt, like you have, or bury fencing, but I don't think people generally do both.

I would pin it to the ground with the long pins made to use with metal garden edging.
They go deep and don't pull out like the wide pins.

I think I'm a little over protective lol. My partner just laughs as I frantically run around trying to figure out how best to secure the place. I need to just relax it seems.

I don't have my fencing buried. My electric wire is close enough to the ground that anything that would try to dig will get zapped. Especially in the spring when the young coyotes and such start to roam, unless the parents teach them not to go to close, I have heard them. The white wire is the electric wire.
