Okay so my dad and I are having a disagreement. My dad thinks the run size is to large for our chickens and ducks. He says this because (as he says) everyone else has a small run for there chickens. My run is 30 x 60 and I don't think it's to big at all.

So, I ask does run size matter??

P.S. all this started because out of 10 chickens 5 of which were layers when I got them haven't produced a single egg in over a month. I think it's either the kids trying catch them all the time and/or the heat (80-90 degrees and 80% humidity)

they usually don't lay if they are getting bothered too much, just my opinion but I think your coop Is a good size

You can never have a run that's too big. Our girls have a run that is roughly 1500 Sq ft that they only get locked up in if we aren't home.
The heat can definitely make the girls slow down or stop all together.

And tell the kids to stop chasing them. Poor girls are probably stressed out too.

I told the kids to leave the chickens alone and the chickens finally got a day afternoon of peace. I won the our disagreement thank you guys. Thanks for the help.
