A few hours passed, and it was almost dawn before Faedon finished her birth. Her litter had been very large; the pups were small, but they were all strong and healthy.

Phoenix had just started coming around, and wobbled towards his mate on very unsteady legs. "Faedon.. feeling b-better?" he asked, smirking, despite his woozy feeling.

Faedon offered a tired, yet exhilerated half smile. "They make up for it a million times over." As Faedon gazed down at her pups in wonder, she felt her heart soar with love for them. She could finally understand what a mother's love was- how Senkah felt. She noticed Ginger squirming about just outside the nest, and with great care, she gently lifted her up by her scruff and placed her beside her siblings. "What will we name them?" she murmured to Phoenix.

Phoenix flopped weakly beside her, drawing a tongue over a bright red he-pup with pine green eyes, like his mother. His tiny jaws parted and a small whine escaped him. Phoenix smiled. "How about Russet for this one?" he asked her, smiling with joy. His eyes were sparkling, yet deep within their deep brown gaze, was a fierce protectiveness. He would die to defend his family.

Ginger squinted her eyes. They still have not opened yet, but she was trying. Her red fur glistened as the sun began to rise. She squealed, she wasn't use to the brightness in her face.

Poppy squirmed and cried loudly. She didn't like whatever was happening...she shut her eyes tight against the light, curling up in a tight ball.

"Shh," Faedon ushered to her pups. Her voice was as soft as the snow. "You're alright." Although her stomach still felt like a bag of sand weighing her down, she rose to her paws and stepped over to the other side of the nest so that the sunlight didn't hit their faces. She looked at the little pup that Phoenix had named. "It's perfect for him," she murmured.

Her gaze fell upon a little brown and white she-pup, and Faedon felt her heart twist with a bittersweet feeling. She resembled one Stonepack wolf so much that it could have been mistaken for her pup instead... Poppy, the she-wolf who had died in battle a month before. Poppy... I wish you could see this. "I know just what we'll call her." Faedon rasped her to he over the little pup's head. "Poppy. In honor of..." Faedon's sentence trailed off, and she turned away. The thought was just too much for her, as Faedon had been quite close to Poppy (( if that's okay, Dragon )), and her death had filled Faedon with such great sorrow. But Phoenix would know just who she was talking about.

Phoenix nodded, drawing his tongue over her cheek. "It's perfect." he nuzzled her, knowing the pain and grief she felt.

A sad smile curled across Faedon's muzzle, and she drew her tongue over Poppy's head. She then set her eyes on a grayish-brown and white male. "How does Kado sound for him?"
"Sounds good to me." Phoenix nodded in approval.
"What do you want to call her?" Faedon rasped her tongue over Ginger's little body.
Phoenix thought for a moment. "Ginger, perhaps?" he looked at Faedon.
Faedon smirked a little. "Sounds good." Her gaze ran over her littering pups, and landed upon the first born: A little brown she-pup, with a lighter brown underside, paws, and ears. She had pine green eyes, just like her mother. "Maple," Faedon murmured as she nuzzled the pup.
Ginger looked up at her mother. She yelped a little and Nuzzled herself into Faedons warm coat.

Garron pinned his ears at Scar's threatening grin. He tucked his tail, with the tip of it twitching; he wished he could show Scar that he was strong, but he couldn't. As much as Garron didn't want to admit it, he had to; Scar was stronger than him, and if they fought, to be frank Garron would have the tar beaten out of him. He sidestepped away until Scar and Piper were out of sight, before he broke into a full-out sprint. His mind was in a daze.

Poppy cracked open one golden eye and yawned in her mothers face. She whimpered and squirmed around by her mother's belly, trying to find something to eat

Faedon looked down at Poppy as she squirmed. She leaned down and gently nudged Poppy in the right direction for her milk, and she drew her tongue over her pup's forehead.

Ginger tried to stand up but her little body couldn't handle it. She tumble down through the grass, about 4 feet away from her mother.

Piper ingnored his questions and motioned towards one of the empty dens. "How about this one, brother? Mine is right over there...across from this one." She tried to hold is gaze but couldn't.

Scar nodded. "Yes...it's fine. Better than the dump I have been sleeping in recently anyway" he sat down in the mouth of his den and scanned the pack site. His eyes slits and a half-smile on his maw.

Piper shuffled her paws. "I'll just leave you to rest then...you must be tired after looking for me so long. I'll...i'll go get you something to eat." she scampered off but Scar rose and calmly followed.
"Oh, I'm not tired much. I have spent to long resting...now that you are with me again, we can do everything together! Like we did when we were pups...remember?"

Piper gulped. "Right. Everything." They went over to the fresh kill pile and Scar picked out a squirrel. He sat down to enjoy it while Piper sat beside him, trying to thing of what to say. She wished there was something that she had to do right then...anything...to give her some time to fully register things. Scar's prescience just flustered her...she couldn't think clearly.
Her heart leaped at an idea. "Brother? While you eat I will go take a nap...I just got back from hunting and I really am tired. Would you mind if I showed you around later?"
Scar stifled a growl of disappointment but nodded. "That's alright...I'll just look around while you sleep." He watched her pad over to her den and go inside. His eyes never left the entrance even when she had been gone for a long time.

As soon as Piper entered her den she worked furiously...digging a hole in the back of her den. She just wanted to go for a long walk..try and hash things out. She finally pushed through, shaking the dirt off her pelt. She ran off into the forest, her heart pounding...

Faedon sighed as Ginger tumbled out of the nest. "Sky?" She called to a packmate who was peeking at the pups from a distance. "Can you get her? I can't really get up, or they'll wake up." She motioned to her sleeping pups with her nose.

Sky nodded, "Sure thing, Faedon." Sky leaned down and gently picked Ginger up by her scruff.
