Little Ginger nuzzled her brother. She looked at him.

Kado pushed on his sister sleepily with his front paws and curled up closer to his mother and fell back asleep.

Ginger yawned and laid her head on her brothers back.

Poppy tried to stand on wobbly feet and toppled over on top of Kado and Ginger. She yawned again and sneezed. She tried to stand again but fell over beside Ginger. She stayed down this time, her golden eyes blinking, trying to take everything in.

Kado let out a little whine when Poppy landed on him. He opened his eyes and looked around for the first time. All these new sights and smells frightened him. He wiggled his way up to his mothers head and laid down right next to her.

Girvan was wandering the forest marking their borders. He heard other wolves and crept closer. It was Jake, the wolf he had spoken to about joining.
